Meet Dr. Dumore
Dr. Tim Dumore
Tim Dumore, was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. James. He attended Hedges Junior High and John Taylor Collegiate. After high school, he obtained his bachelor of science and completed his dental school training at the University of Manitoba in 1991.

Four years of general dental practice with the Canadian Armed Forces in Cold Lake, AB, proved to be excellent preparation for the three-year orthodontic residency Dr. Dumore served at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Dumore has practiced as an orthodontist in Winnipeg since 1998 and our office has been in its current location since September 2000.
ROCKSTAR ORTHODONTIST?
Dr. Dumore often thinks about being a rock star. However, he is unable to play any musical instruments and has a complete lack singing talent, so a career in music seems remote in this lifetime. As a result, he has committed himself to being an outstanding orthodontist.
EXPERIENCED ORTHODONTIST
Professionally, he has served with the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, and the Manitoba Orthodontic Society, and has acted as the chairman of the Manitoba Dental Association Annual Convention Committee. He is a co-director of the Winnipeg Progressive Dental Study Club, an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club, which focuses on interdisciplinary dental care.
Dr. Dumore attends numerous continuing education courses each year and his team has accused him of being a “CE junky” a title he wears proudly. To help others in their quest to become orthodontists, Dr. Dumore has been an instructor at the University of Manitoba graduate orthodontic program since 1998.
Finally, Dr. Dumore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, having passed the first re-certification exam in 2008. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists (Canada).
FAMILY ORTHODONTIST
Dr. Dumore has been married to his wife Jennifer since July 29, 1989, a date he has inscribed inside his wedding band, so he’ll never forget! They have three children—Thomas, Lucas and Danica—two dogs, and pet rats.
In his leisure time, Tim enjoys doing just about anything with his family, including time at the cottage, skiing and traveling. As well, he attempts to stay fit through training and biking, though an equal affinity for cooking and red wine don’t help in that regard!

Dr. Katherine Kazak
Meet Dr. Katherine Kazak, our newest member hailing from Toronto! Dr. Kazak is highly committed to the art and science of orthodontics, and is on a mission to spread joy in every grin of Winnipeg.
WINNIPEG ORTHODONTIST
Dr. Kazak’s dental career started at the University of Toronto, where she earned her dental degree. Her journey took a detour to the concrete jungle of Manhattan, where she furthered her dental training during a General Practice Residence in the Bronx.
Driven by a personal connection to orthodontics stemming from her own transformative experience with braces, Dr. Kazak pursued an orthodontic residency in Winnipeg where she met Dr. Dumore. Since graduating, she is dedicated to continuing education and attending various courses to remain up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field.
Dr. Kazak is excited to join Dr. Dumore and his esteemed team, who share a commitment to delivering exceptional orthodontic care and creating a positive patient experience.
When away from the office, Dr. Kazak likes to spend quality time with her fiancé and their furbaby. She is also a self-proclaimed foodie, always on the lookout for the yummiest treats Winnipeg has to offer. She looks forward to meeting you, and would love to hear your recommendations!
